At 5 years old, I was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect.
After many complications, the doctors said that my right leg would have to be removed and that I would not be able to have children because I would likely die because my heart was not strong enough.
Sometimes the plan that God has for us is not exactly the one we would prefer, or the most enjoyable. Yet, He knows what we are capable of doing. We just need to trust Him, and follow His lead.
How many times have you felt as if God is giving you a test and you are not ready for it? How many times have you got close to giving up?
I grew up in church, but accepted Christ at 13. Later in life, our whole family was looking for a church where we could feel God’s anointing. We wanted a church where we could feel right at home and we found it during Easter of 2017.
Real Life Church Is Where I Feel At Home
I give thanks to God for leading my parents to not sign the papers to authorize the doctors, back when I was 5 years old, to perform the amputation.
My mother took a handkerchief to our church and had it anointed with oil and pinned it to my surgery garment. After that, the doctors only had to amputate part of my right foot instead of my whole right leg.
Praise God, I was also able to raise a family!
I have two children, 21 and 27 years old, and a couple of grandchildren that are 2 and 3 years old, and we all attend Real Life Church.
Since day one, we were amazed by the friendliness of the people and loved the church because our babies were comfortable. We also liked the small group experiences.
After more than 30+ surgeries, and 59 years, I am still going strong and am an advocate of Real Life Church. I tell everyone I meet how much I love our church.
